How much coronavirus research is useless and wasteful?

Coronacast 13 de mayo de 2020 19

Background
share close

Ever since coronavirus appeared, scientists and researchers around the world have been scrambling to find out as much as they can about it.

So much so that there’s now enormous overlap in trials and reviews of COVID-19 evidence.

It’s led to concerns that resources are being wasted, especially in areas of drug trials because many studies are poorly designed and not actually revealing any useful information.

On today’s show:

* How much coronavirus research is wasteful?

* What’s the point of quarantine if some people remain infectious for more than two weeks?

* If I have a flu vaccination and get a slight reaction do I need to be tested for coronavirus?
